The Genesis Cinemas Brand and company was launched into the Nigerian market in the year 2008, in Lagos. Genesis  Cinemas now have 9 cinemas across the Country with 35 screens and over 5000 seats. Other Genesis Cinemas are located in Lagos, Warri, Owerri, Abuja and Asaba.

Genesis Cinemas is known for it innovation and its Lagos cinema was the first cinema in West Africa to show a 3D movie (Green Hornet) in February 2011.
